The original Gilley's dancehall was started by artist Mickey Gilley in 1971. Mickey was both an incredible artist and businessman. His music career took off in the 1970's when 39 of his songs hit the Top Ten country list. Gilley's Dallas was established in 2003 and has become the most popular place to hear live country music in the DFW Metroplex. This venue has a lot to offer, you can play pool, dance, listen to your favorite band and Gilley's even offers free dance lessons on Saturdays from 6-8pm. Gilley's has it all; I definitely recommend stopping in next time you're in Dallas.
